Configure API Authentication

  • To configure API authentication,

  • In the App Model, Check the Set Up Credentials or Click Credentials from sidebar

    Choose the OpenAPI Spec

  • Now you will see Credentials window. In that window click on the Add Credentials

  • Now you fill the authentication form to create authentication and click on Save and Test Authentication.

  • Now you will see authentication details.

  • Now check the Credential status indicator is displayed in green in the APP Model

    • If authentication is not required for a particular application instance, you can select Skip for Configure Credentials. Skipping this step automatically skips the dependent Authenticated Scan, RBAC, and BOLA steps in the App Model.
    • Skipping Configure Credentials increases the App Model percentage for that instance and allows it to progress accordingly through the Onboarding quadrants on the Dashboard.
    • You can unskip Configure Credentials by selecting Unskip or by configuring the credentials. Once Configure Credentials is unskipped, the Authenticated Scan step is automatically unskipped. However, the RBAC and BOLA steps remain skipped until they are manually unskipped or configured individually.
